A tantou forged by Awataguchi Yoshimitsu. He is one of the Toushirou brothers. For the warrior class, a tantou by Yoshimitsu was considered a gift of the highest caliber. Its significance is heightened even further if it once resided—however briefly—in the possession of Tokugawa Ieyasu. And needless to say, it is obvious from whom he inherited his particular tastes.
