About Animetrics

About Animetrics

Animetrics is an anime character and work database with 22,185 anime, 45,986 characters, 16,013 staff, and 2,386 studios. Unlike traditional anime list services, Animetrics focuses on characters as first-class entities with rich, structured attributes.

What makes Animetrics different?

  • Work-based organization — Anime franchises are grouped as single works, not split by season. Characters belong to the work, not individual seasons.
  • AI-analyzed character attributes— Each character is analyzed for archetypes, personality traits, and narrative role using AI, creating structured data that doesn't exist anywhere else.
  • Wiki-sourced facts with attribution — Character details (height, abilities, relationships) are sourced from Fandom wikis with full source URLs.
  • Staff and studios as first-class entities — Directors, voice actors, and studios are fully browsable and searchable.
  • Streaming links — Every work shows where you can watch it (Crunchyroll, Netflix, etc.) and links to the official website.
  • Open API — All data is available through a REST API for developers and AI agents.
