Zeus is the King of the Gods in Greek mythology, and the God of the Sky and Lightning. He was also regarded as an Egyptian god by the name of Amun. The youngest son of the leaders of the Titans, Cronus and Rhea, he was spared by his mother from the fate of being swallowed by his father which had befallen his older siblings, due to Cronus's fear that his children would overthrow him just as he had overthrown his father Uranus.
