This sword was made by Raikuni Yukisaku, the de facto founder of the Rai school. It was passed down through the Matsudaira family, lords of Akashi Domain. He is supposedly the guardian of [Aizen Kunitoshi](https://anilist.co/character/140472/Aizen-Kunitoshi) and [Hotarumaru](https://anilist.co/character/89810/Hotarumaru), but he is a troublesome character who favors Hotarumaru. His claim that his lack of motivation is his selling point and his tone of voice are somewhat suspicious, and it is impossible to grasp where his true intentions lie.
