A kind and polite - yet headstrong - high-school girl who lives with her aunt in Tonami, Miyazaki Prefecture, Kyushu. She has recurring dreams of her younger self wandering through a field, surrounded by ruins of a city, trying to find her mother. She seems to have great admiration for her mother, who was a nurse, studying medicine books and holding onto a small chair she made for Suzume's fourth birthday in 2010.
